Posted 12/9/18 4:15 pm. Due to the winter storm, Thomasville City Hall and Recreation Department Activities and Programs will be CLOSED Monday, December 10th. Solid waste/recycling collection will be delayed. Monday's route will be picked-up Tuesday, Tuesday's route will be picked-up Wednesday. Wednesday - Friday should be on regular schedule. However, weather may further change the schedule, please check back for updates. Updates will be posted to our website, official Thomasville social media sites, Channel 13, and FOX 8.

The City maintains a variety of Social Media outlets that are dedicated to different departments and user groups. This page gives you access to all of the official outlets maintained by city staff including the City Facebook page, Parks and Recreation Facebook page, Parks and Recreation Instagram page, Emergency Management Facebook Page, Police Department Twitter page, and Emergency Management Twitter page.
The City and the Police Department also use the "NextDoor" App as public agencies to push information to the community.
We also have an emergency push notification system called Nixle. This system allows you to sign-up for notifications- including weather information from the National Weather Service, Emergency road closures or other emergency notifications, along with other community information.
