In addition, there were four presentations made by the Mayor and City Council members.

Mayor Raleigh York, Jr. presented a framed image of the "Big Chair" along with a "Big Chair" necklace to 2019 Miss Central Carolina's Outstanding Teen, McKenzie Cox for her outstanding service to the community of Thomasville. Miss Cox created Little Free Libraries in our public parks, collected books for young students to encourage reading, participated in many local events, and collected over 1,400 canned goods for Thomasville's Holiday Food Drive.

Councilwoman Pat Shelton presented a Proclamation declaring November 30 as Small Business Saturday in Thomasville to Keith Tobin, President of the Thomasville Chamber of Commerce. Proclamation Small Business Saturday

Councilwoman Jane Murphy presented the proclamation to Laura Owen, CEO of Hospice of Davidson County, in recognition of National Hospice Palliative Care Month.
