Council Meeting Summary

The City Council met in regular session Monday, June 17, 2019. Below is a summary of the actions taken by City Council. In addition, Mayor Raleigh York Jr. read a proclamation stating that July is National Parks and Recreation month in Thomasville. Ms. McKiver introduced the next downtown art project, Seats on Main. Also, Mayor York introduced McKenzie Cox, Miss Central Carolina Outstanding Teen. Ms. Cox presented her Childhood Literacy Project to the community, including the installation of a “Little Free Library” at Thomasville’s Central Recreation Center.

Those interested in donating gently used children's books may bring them to the Administrative Offices at City Hall.
